This smoothie is soo good, and you only need four ingredients.
In your blender, mix:
Almond milk/or milk of your choice
Vegan Protein Powder in double chocolate
Optional: Water (you don't have to add this, I had to because I ran out of almond milk).
I'm usually scared of protein powders, but this one seems pretty good! Normally I would just add cocoa powder if I wanted a chocolate smoothie but I thought I'd try this powder my dad picked up. The ingredents, such as hemp, chia, and pea isolate protein, all seem good to me. However, a few ingredients that I'm not too sure about are "natural chocolate flavour", xylitol, and bromelain. They scare me a little bit...where are these "natural" flavours coming from? I really don't like it when this type of ingredient is listed; it's too vague and seems a little sketchy. Also, I don't know much about xylitol, which is apparently a molecualr cousin to sugar. Similarly, my knowledge of bromelain is limited as well. So with that in mind, I'm not sure I'll be using this powder too often, although it tastes really good! If you have any knowledge on protein powders, or any recommendations for me, comment below! :) I would love to hear your opinions; I know very little about what makes a protein powder good.
